Position Overview

Job Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)

Duration: 2-3 months

About the Role: The intern will assist the Technical Consulting and Rural Future teams at WELL Labs in advancing the pilot solution for Outcome-Based Financing project. This involves understanding pumping in granitic hard rock aquifers to develop an incentive program to conserve water and energy. You would be working with a team of Hydrologists, Hydrogeologist and Qualitative researcher. Absolute remote work can be discussed on a case to case basis.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct exploratory data (climate, hydrological and geological) analysis.

2. Assist in developing input datasets for DRYP models (a hydrological model to understand long term water partitioning in the region).

3. Contribute in ever evolving research investigations for the overall objectives of the project.
   

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in hydrology or hydrogeology.
2. Proficiency in QGIS and Python
3. Experience of working with hydrological models (preferred)
4. Proactiveness and problem-solving approach
5. Good cross-team communication skills.
