India Climate Summit 2024: How To Restore India’s Sacred Waters? How Can We Stop Water Pollution?
In this special segment of India Climate Summit 2024, we are joined by Kalpana Ramesh, Dr. Rajendra Singh, Nitya Jacob, and Dr. Veena Srinivasan.
Speaking during a session related to Water Pollution Dr. Veena Srinivasan says, “Most urban bodies get revenue for supplying water, but they are not charged for supplying extra wastewater.” While Dr. Rajendra Singh said, “We made 14,800 dams and till now haven’t asked for a penny from the government. In the last 50 years, those who didn’t have a source of water now have the solution.”
